US WW2 Goggles Dark Adaption Type E-1 USAAF

In a very good and unissued condition a nice pair of US WW2 dark adaption goggles in their original box. Maker marked by The American Optical Co. nocturnal vision goggles introduced in 1943, these were used to aclimatize the wearer’s eyes for nightime flying. Simple folding leather frame with ‘fur’ trim and red celluloid lenses. Webbing and elastic strap with basic clasp fittings. Unissued conditon.
