A very interesting and complete US Airborne grouping named after Harry G. Drummer, originally from Company D, 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. The grouping consists of various patches, including a worn Type 3 101st Airborne patch, a glider cap badge, an 82nd Airborne patch, and Sterling Silver Glider Wings. A handkerchief made by riggers (as Harry describes it in his letter) bearing a scarce British-made 101st Airborne patch embroidered with “Greetings from England,” Harry’s Garrison cap, various booklets, and a yellow scarf made of parachute material. Included with the grouping is a letter written by Harry in which he describes these items. At the end of the war, Harry G. Drummer transferred to the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division; a photo of him in an 82nd AB M42 uniform is included in this grouping. A particularly beautiful and complete grouping of a US WWII airborne trooper!
