US 82nd Airborne Division Ike Jacket, Named 307th AEB
SOLD
In a very good condition a named early post war US 82nd Airborne Division Ike jacket of the 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion. The is an early post war jacket in very good condition, it wears all the original period sewed and metal WWII insignia. Inside the back and on the lining of the jacket a so called laundry number can be seen. Inside on of the pockets a note was found which describes that this jacket belonged to Edward Bender of the 307th AEB and describes in which actions Corporal Bender participated, most likely Corporal Bender stayed in the service early post war. This deserves further investigation.
The jacket comes in a very good mannequin size. An excellent and decorative paratrooper jacket to a Combat Engineer in the 82nd Airborne that would be a great base for further research. A very nice historical piece!
