US WW2 Welcome Booklet To The City Of Stratford-Upon-Avon

A very nice and interesting welcome booklet for US forces to the city of Stratford-Upon-Avon, a place known for being the birthplace and burial place of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare. The booklet is in good condition and dated 1944.

During WWII, Statford-Upon-Avon was a base for the US Army’s Ghost Army, a top-secret unit of artists and engineers who used inflatable tanks and fake radio signals for battlefield deception as part of Operation Fortitude before D-Day.
