US WW2 USAAF A3 Mechanics Cap

In very good and beautifully worn condition is a USAAF A3 Mechanic’s Cap. This pattern of cap was introduced early in the war and was intended for issue to USAAF ground crews. These caps were very popular, also with other units of the US Army. This cap is in nice, worn condition; the inside of the peak is still faintly marked “New Mexico,” presumably the state where the original wearer of this cap came from. A beautiful and hard to find original cap.
