US WW2 USN Mk-3 Hand Projector Flare Launcher

In a very good condition a scarce WW2 US Navy Mk 3 hand projector.
The projector, when fully assembled, is 5 ½” long, introduced for use by the US Navy in early 1943 to supplement the various flare guns.

This hand projector was originally packed in a sealed waterproof container along with six distress rockets and designed for being included in life rafts and other emergency equipment.
