€ 850,00
A real historical piece, in a very good condition an early WWII US 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper Class A jacket named to PFC “John J. Van Meter“ of the Hq-HQ Company 504th P.I.R. 82nd Airborne Division. The jacket is in very good condition and wears all the original period sewed and metal insignia such as the 82nd SSI, Oval, sterling silver jump wings and more. On the linning in the back of the jacket is is clearly named. The jacket comes in a size 37L which is a good mannequin size. It’s clearly dated 1942 on the label in the lower pocket. Private First Class John J. Van Meter served with HQ-HQ Company 504th Parachute Infantry, he died of wounds non battle in Germany at the end of the war. He is burried at the Netherlands American Cemetery Margraten, Holland. A very nice historical piece named to an American hero, this deserves more research!
