US WW2 Camouflaged Parachute Market Garden

A great and historic piece, an original US WW2 camouflaged parachute straight from DZ/T Groesbeek, Holland. This DZ was used by the 82nd Airborne Division 508th PIR and 2nd battalion 505PIR on september 17 1944 during operation Market Garden. This particulair parachute was found in the early 90s on this drop zone and is still in a great condition. It does have some rips and tears from barb wire and the battles that took place along the Wylerbaan road were DZ/T was situated. The parachute is manufactured by “Pioneer Parachute company” and dated july 1943. A historic and scarce piece straight from the Market Garden battle field!
