US WW2 A-8 Helmet, Flying, Summer

In a very good and almost unused condition an US type A-8 summer flying helmet manufactured in khaki gabardine. This example complete with the original leather chin cup. On the inside the label is still present aswell as the fur covered ear pads. A very nice USAAF flying helmet.

Standardized on 12 October 1933 initially for the USAAF this helmet with leather chin cup was also used by paratrooper, during training but also in combat zone as can be seen on period photos.
