US WW2 82nd Airborne Uniform Grouping HQ/1 505th P.I.R.

 1.695,00

In very good condition, an 82nd Airborne uniform grouping named after Staff Sergeant Carl B. Johnson, who was a late-war replacement for Headquarter Company 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, and who was a corridor to the original seller, his son. The dates suggest that S/SGT Johnson transferred from the 507th PIR at some point, which would explain the 17th Airborne on the right sleeve. The grouping is untouched and complete with an Ike jacket with all the original insignia, an 82nd patched shirt, a tan shirt, wool pants, photos, patches, and more. A beautiful grouping named after a trooper within the famous 82nd Airborne Division. This deserves further research. A beautiful display set!
