US WW2 82nd Airborne Officers Ike jacket, 307th Engineer Battalion
In a very good condition an US 82nd Airborne Paratrooper ike jacket of a first Lieutenant of the 307th Engineer Battalion. The ike jacket is in very good condition and wears all the original period sewed and metal insignia such as the 82nd SSI, 307th oval, sterling silver glider wings, CIB and collar insignia. On the inside the jacket is marked with the so called personal laundry number “B2100” Research may lead to the name of the previous owner. No extensive research was done by us yet. The trooper served three years overseas as can be seen on the bars on his lower left sleeve and prticipated on all the campaigns looking at the French, Dutch and Belgium fourragere.
Next to the ETO ribbon you can see the ribons for the Bronze star, purple hearth, Good Conduct medal and some others. An excellent and beautiful 82nd Airborne officers ike jacket that would be a great base for further research. A stunning jacket and a very nice historical piece!
