Kriegsmarine Personal Effects Storage Box

In a very good and used condition a Kriegsmarine personal effects storage box (ditty box). This wooden box is reinforced with metal corners for extra strength. Complete with lock hook and metal name tag riveted still on the front. On the inside its maker marked and dated ” G M 41″. Nice detail is the tellermütze cap badge which was added to this box by the soldier who once used it. These boxes would have been used on ships and u-boats for sailors or sea men to store their personal belongings for safe keeping. A harder to find Kriegsmarine item.
