Dutch Volunteer Legion Ambulance Department Enlistment Form
SOLD
In very good and near mint condition, a Dutch (Waffen SS) Volunteer Legion Netherlands Ambulance Department Enlistment Form.
The Dutch Volunteer Legion was founded in 1941 and was intended to recruit Dutch volunteers to fight on the German side against the Soviet Union. In addition to combat troops, a medical unit was also set up: the Dutch Ambulance, a mobile field hospital initially labeled the “Dutch Ambulance” and recruited through the Volunteer Legion. Although presented as “neutral” or “medical humanitarian,” the Dutch Ambulance was in practice under the command of the Waffen-SS, so it was affiliated with the same organization as the Volunteer Legion. A unique and very hard to find enlistment form.
