British Jungle Green Folding Map Case 1944

In a very nice condition a British folding map case in  jungle green.
This pattern of map case was introduced in 1944 for use in the tropics. It is made from a dark green cotton webbing and features a pen pocket to front and a celluloid sheet to the centre. Brass pop studs are used to close the case and are all fitted with leather washers.On the inside there is a white label  which read ‘Keep mosquito repellent off celluloid’ This is a niceley used and 1944 dated example. A very attractive map case!
