British Airborne Pattern 1940 Battle Dress Jacket

A rare and unique piece, this 1940 pattern British Airborne battle dress jacket. It has all the insignia war time applied such as the embroidered Pegasus patches and Airborne titles. Furthermore it comes with sewed dark blue eppaulette slip ons which might indicate this jacket was worn by a trooper of S Company of the 1st Battalion Border Regiment. It doesnt have any shoulder titels and no traces showing it ever had. Period photographs showing it was also worn this way. This pattern 1940 battle dress jacket comes in a very good condition. On the inside it still has its original label which shows it’s 1943 dated and does come in a size 13. Next to that the jacket is WD marked with the letter N indicating 1943 as the year of issue. A stunning and hard to find British Airborne jacket, great for a DDay or Market Garden display.
