British (Airborne) Cotton String Vest 1944


In a very good condition a British cotton string vest. These vest were constructed in the early 40s and are also referred to “Escape string vest” because they doubled as an escape aid. If needed the vest could be unraveled and plaited to a rope to aid escape. These are often seen on paratroopers, pilots and commando troops.  This cotton vest in a very good condition and 1944 dated.
