1st Pattern Smock Deninson (Airborne Troops) 1942
SOLD
In very nice and combat worn condition, a British Airborne 1st pattern Deninson smock. The smock, in a size 5, has its original label with maker “Frankenstein & Sons” and is clearly dated 1942. Characteristic for the 1st pattern are the knitted wool cuffs, which are still nice and show some damage. It also still has the tail flap in a hand-painted camouflage pattern. The half zip is fully functional, although it seems wartime replaced. It also has a minor modification with an extra button. All brass studs are marked “Newey.” This is the correct model for Normandy and Arnhem. A very attractive combat-worn British Airborne Deninson smock!
